Release notes for Boarding 3.16
Below is an overview of changed and new features introduced in this release of the FourVision Web Apps.
New features
Implemented the selection of API key configurable to use Google or Bing maps through a parameter for 'Map settings' under 'Connection profiles' in the web app
Added the keyword 'Hi' to the email template and the placeholder added for the Receiver's name labeled as 'Person name'
Implemented the functionality to transfer the documents uploaded for the applicant's guide from the Boarding app to the DMS web app
Changes and bugfixes to existing features:
Generic security updates, minor bug fixes and patches
Added a parameter to handle the visibility of the 'Hire' button in the applicant Note: By default, the parameter will be 'Enabled' and so the users need to disable it to hide the 'Hire' button from the Applicants.
Implemented the placeholder 'Link' in the email template To increase the visibility of the 'Go to guide' button
Added filter ‘Filter template’ on boarding guide for adding activities from the Boarding guide template from available from section
Detailed release information:
New feature 1: Implemented the selection of API key configurable to use Google or Bing maps through a parameter for 'Map settings' under 'Connection profiles' in the web app
Login with user ‘Claire Kennedy’ as 'Admin'. The newly implemented ‘Map Settings’ tab displayed properly and contains the ‘Type’ dropdown field
On the 'My guides' screen, created a guide for worker ‘Grace Struman’. Added ‘Guide template’ and ‘Email template’ for the creation of the guide. Under the ‘Resources’ tab, click on the ‘+New’ button. On the ‘Add new resource’ dialog box, under the ‘Resource type’ dropdown field, check the ‘Map’ option not showing

After selecting the ‘Google’ type option, the ‘API key’ field appears. In the ‘API key’ field, added the appropriate API key and clicked on the ‘Save’ button
Under the 'My guides' on the 'Details' screen, for the guide created for worker ‘Grace Struman’, clicked on ‘+ New’ button. On the ‘Add new resource’ dialog box, under the ‘Resource type’ dropdown field, the ‘Map’ type resource appears
Clicked on the ‘GPS location’ field
The ‘Choose location’ dialog box appears and the map location visible
Enter ‘American Museum of Natural’ in the search bar, selected an option from the suggestions and the searched location showing. Pin the point from the map and click on the ‘Save’ button

Added multiple map resources and clicked on the ‘Send email’ icon
The guide created , clicked on the ‘Send email’ icon.
Login to ‘Outlook’ as ‘Grace Sturman’. clicked on the ‘Go to guide’ button
Under the ‘Resources’ tab, clicked on the ‘Map’ icon
Navigates to the specific location on ‘Google’ Map
For the guide created for worker ‘Grace Struman’, under the ‘Resource type’ dropdown field, for the added map resource, clicked on the ‘Map’ option

Note: Same functionality is implemented for 'Bing' maps, search functionality for the ‘Bing’ maps is not implemented yet.
New feature 2: Added the keyword 'Hi' to the email template and the placeholder added for the Receiver's name labeled as 'Person name'
Added a new email template as default email template. Under the ‘Email template details’ tab, the newly implemented ‘Person name’ draggable placeholder and default ‘Hi’ text under the ‘Body’ section displayed
Dragged the ‘[Person name]’ placeholder under the ‘Body’ sub header. Users can edit the default ‘Hi’ text, updated the details and clicked on the ‘Save & close’ button
Created a guide for 'Mia Vanclooster', selected guide template. The ‘Customize this email’ dialog box appears and the details displaying properly. Clicked on the ‘Add’ button
Login to ‘Outlook’ as ‘Mia Vanclooster’. For the worker ‘Mia Vanclooster', the email received and the person's name as ‘Mia’ showing properly with ‘Dear’ text
The space between Signature and Position reduced and appearing properly
Note: Implemented the changes on ‘Need to board multiple people at once?’; ‘Add now’ and ‘Applicants’ screens

On the 'Edit category group' screen, in the ‘AP-Basic CG’ category group, assigned both categories
Under 'Roles', on the 'Assign manager category groups screen, for the ‘System user’ role, assigned the category group and categories
BOARDING APP setting ( Compatible in Sprint 3.16) Added new applicant and created guide. Filled information under all tabs, under the ‘Personal information’ tab added details showing
Under the ‘General’ tab, in the ‘Default document category’ field, entered the 'AP-Applicant Category' created in the 'Document Management' App
Specify the category for certain activities,
- For the ‘Brief history of the company’ activity, entered the document category as ‘AP-Candidate category’
- For the ‘Reporting structure’ activity, entered the document category as ‘AP-Candidate category’. Clicked on the ‘Save’ icon. Sent mail, login with guest user and clicked on the ‘Go to guide’ button.
Under the ‘Personal information’ tab, the added details appears
Under the ‘Activities’ tab, uploaded the attachments and complete all the activities
Under the 'Resources' tab, for the guest user 'Go to Document management app' link not showing
Login to the Boarding app with user 'Sara Thomas' as Manager, under the 'Resources' tab, for the guest user 'Go to Document management app' link showing
With user 'Sara Thomas' as Manager login to the ‘Document Management’ App. Under 'Recruitment', on the 'All applicants' screen, for the applicant ‘Albert Dekker’, clicked on the ‘Documents’ option
The transferred attachment showing from the ‘Boarding’ App to the ‘Document Management’ App. For the applicant ‘Albert Dekker’, all the transferred attachments showing with status as ‘End approved’
Note: : If a guide is created for a hired applicant from the 'Applicants' screen, then the transferred documents/attachments from the Boarding web app to the Document management web app on that guide will be visible on the 'Applicant' screen under the 'Recruitment' menu.
