Email templates
Email templates can be used to send email notifications to users as their documents move through workflow.
Keep the text general, since they will be used in every workflow status that has notifications turned on for any type of document to originator and assignee of a workflow step. also keep in mind that workflow must be assigned to a category to actually get email notifications based on the workflow status settings.
There are 3 email templates:
- Workflow notification email text: for any workflow status change of any document
- Applicant notification email text: for status changes of applicant documents
- Expiration notification email text: to notify user that documents are going to expire
###How setup email templates
- Give the email a title and a subject
- Enter text in the notification text area
- Add placeholders via drag and drop to use fields from the app (date, document name, etc.)
- Use text editor functions to mark up your text (bold, italic, font, etc.)
- SAVE the template.
- Note! to actually get notifications via email, you must setup a scheduler batch task: see Scheduler
