Timesheet
The Timesheet App is a FourVision web-based application that offers the ability to register time and expenses based on customers, projects and tasks. Once an employee registers time, the timesheet can be routed for approval. In Expenses, attachments can easily be added and different expense types can be used. Timesheet contains two main components:
- The management of Time
- The management of Expenses
The Timesheet App includes also the following features
- Ability to book on customer, project, tasks and location level
- An overview of missing timesheets
- An approval process for Project Managers and Managers
- One-click approval for managers
- Easy upload of attachments for Expenses
- Includes expense request and approval
- Easy configuration for admin
Standard roles in the app
Roles | Description |
---|---|
Super Admin | Is the only role able to configure all admin-tables like users, role-assignment, customers, projects, tasks, expense types, locations, currencies etc. |
Employee | Is able to book time and expense entries periodically |
Project Manager | Is able to approve the time booked on his assigned (external) projects in the role as project manager |
Manager | Is able to check the missing timesheets and is able to approve the time booked on (internal) projects in the role of Line Mananager. Only for it's reports to employees! |
Administrator | Is able to check all missing timesheets and is able to approve all time booked on all projects and from all employees. Is also able to check and approve all submitted expenses for pay out of expenses of all employees. Is able to download all approved time for the client T&M invoices and chargeable expenses. |
Time & Expenses in the HR Process Framework Even though Time & Expenses is a process that can be implemented and deployed as a standalone solution it is part of a broader scope within Human Resources.

Process Hierarchy In this document, we define the Time and Expenses process by different steps in a specific order. Best practice processes can vary significantly between industries and departments but each process will contain a core set of steps that will need to be performed. For the purposes of documentation, we have taken the below process to illustrate the solution.
